Rapidly Mobilizing to Provide Critical Aid to Afghan Evacuees

When America launched Operation Allies Welcome, our team played a key role in the initial emergency response. Within 24 hours of activation, we deployed to assist the first 1,500 Afghan allies arriving on U.S. soil, providing immediate medical care, temporary housing, culturally appropriate meals and transportation. Within 72 hours evacuations increased, and we quickly established two additional processing sites, creating a seamless pathway from U.S. ports of entry to evacuation centers nationwide. Our operation ultimately grew to eight round-the-clock temporary housing facilities across four states, providing shelter and services to more than 85,000 Afghan evacuees over the course of the year-long mission. Our flexible staffing model allowed us to quickly adjust resources as needs evolved, ensuring efficient and effective support throughout the assignment.
